Chanel No. 5 was launched in 1921. Fashion legend Coco Chanel commissioned perfumer Ernest Beaux to create various fragrances. Number five was the most popular, and thus No. 5 was born. The top is a beautiful blend of aldehydes, ylang-ylang, bergamot, orange blossom, and lemon. Rose, iris, and jasmine bloom in the heart. Civet and musk come together with vetiver, amber, and vanilla.
