Shalimar was created in 1925 by Jacques Guerlain. The fragrance opens with citrus notes and cedar. Jasmine, rose, and iris bloom in the heart, which also features patchouli and vetiver. Mysterious notes of incense and opoponax come together in the base with tonka beans, vanilla, iris, Peruvian balsam, and grey amber.
