Vanderbilt was named after the famous American painter Gloria Laura Vanderbilt. The perfume was released in 1982 and is classified as a sophisticated, oriental, floral fragrance. Top notes are lavender, bergamot, pineapple, orange blossom, aldehyde, and green notes. These transition into a floral heart of ylang-ylang, jasmine, iris root, rose, tuberose, and garden carnation. The warm base contains notes of myrrh, civet, musk, vetiver, vanilla, cinnamon, and sandalwood. Gloria Vanderbilt was created by perfumer Sophia Grojsman. It is recommended to wear this perfume in the evening.
